Does a finder need the app?
No. A finder can use a normal web browser by scanning the QR code, tapping NFC or typing the printed Tag ID.
Will my phone number or address be public?
No. The service is designed so your personal owner contact details do not need to be published. You choose which pet information is visible.
Does the tag need charging?
No. The NFC component is passive and the QR code is printed, so the tag does not need a battery.
What if QR scanning does not work?
Try NFC, or type the Tag ID printed on the tag from any browser.
How do SMS recovery credits work?
SMS recovery alerts are optional for Premium customers. SMS credits are purchased separately in packs of 25 for £2.99 and purchased credits do not expire. App push and email notifications continue independently.
Can someone else help manage my pet?
Yes. Trusted Contacts are designed for family, friends and regular carers, with access controlled by the pet owner.
Can I see what a finder sees?
Yes. Use the DEMOTAG demo profile from the homepage to view the genuine finder-profile experience with fictional data.
How big is the Privacy Pet Tag?
The tag is approximately 28 × 31.5 mm, with a durable, slightly domed epoxy resin finish. It is supplied with a split ring for collar attachment. The QR code and passive NFC technology need no battery or charging.
