About these terms
These terms are between CLJE Ltd (company number 15599770), registered office 8 Princes Street, Radstock, BA3 3DJ, United Kingdom, and the customer. Privacy Pet Tag sells to customers in the United Kingdom only. Accounts and purchases require age 18+. Finders may be any age and need no account.
The service
Privacy Pet Tag provides passive QR/NFC pet identification, privacy-controlled pet profiles, secure finder contact and recovery tools. It is not GPS, continuous tracking, an emergency service or a replacement for microchipping or other legally required identification.
Your responsibilities
Keep account, pet and contact information accurate, protect your credentials, select public details carefully, inspect and test the tag and use the service lawfully. Secure finder contact is a core function of every active tag.
Plans and prices
Free is £0 and normally supports one active pet with essential protection. If a paid multi-pet account falls back to Free, pets and tags already active at expiry are retained; this does not create an entitlement to add further pets beyond the Free limit. Individual is £9.99/year for one pet; Pack is £17.99/year for up to five active pets. Individual Starter is £14.99 with one tag; Pack Starter is £22.99 with two tags. Additional tags added to a Starter order after the included quantity are currently £3.99 each, up to the applicable Pack limit. A standalone additional/replacement tag is £5.99 for the first tag in that shipment, with further tags in the same shipment currently £3.99 each.
CLJE Ltd is not VAT registered, so no separate VAT component is charged. The applicable delivery charge, including £0 where offered, is shown at checkout.
Renewals and Free fallback
Individual and Pack subscriptions renew annually until cancelled. Privacy Pet Tag sends at least two reminders before renewal. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal; Premium remains until the paid-through date. When Premium ends, already activated pets/tags fall back permanently to the applicable Free recovery functionality rather than simply stopping working.
SMS recovery credits
SMS recovery alerts are an optional Premium feature funded by prepaid SMS credits rather than a separate subscription tier. A £2.99 purchase adds 25 SMS credits. Purchased credits do not expire and remain on the account if Premium lapses; they can be used again when an eligible Premium plan is active. Email/app push remain available independently of the SMS credit balance. We may consolidate or reasonably rate-limit messages to control abuse and cost.
When Premium starts
Immediate digital Premium starts after payment and access is enabled only where the customer expressly requests performance during the 14-day cancellation period and acknowledges the lawful consequences. For a Starter whose first service depends on its physical tag, Premium starts when the first included tag is activated and Premium is enabled, not merely when the order/payment is placed.
Orders, delivery, cancellation and returns
Physical orders are subject to stock and fulfilment. UK orders are normally dispatched within three working days using Royal Mail Tracked. The applicable delivery charge is shown at checkout. Cancellation, returns, faulty goods and refunds follow our Delivery, Returns and Cancellation policy and your statutory rights.
Acceptable use and moderation
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, submit false reports, scrape, track people, defeat security or upload unlawful content. We may proportionately restrict misuse. Automated signals may help identify suspected abuse, but material moderation decisions can receive human review and a support route is available. See Acceptable Use and Moderation.
Availability and recovery limits
Availability depends on tag condition, compatible devices, connectivity, third-party providers and current information. Alerts and pet recovery cannot be guaranteed. See Service Availability and Recovery Limitations.
Suspension and account closure
We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, serious misuse, legal compliance or protection of other users. You may close your account through the account/data deletion process, subject to records we are legally entitled or required to retain.
Liability and law
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or for a finder's decision not to use the service. English law applies subject to mandatory consumer rights.
